Edinburgh City puts £170k to work in youth jobs initiative
A £750,000 drive to cut the number of school leavers in Edinburgh who end up on the dole is to be launched by city chiefs with the backing of companies including Royal Bank of Scotland and Microsoft.
The council is to link up with major Edinburgh employers to try to reduce the numbers of so-called NEETS (not in employment, education or training).
