20 apprentices were taken on to work on council contracts following a highly competitive recruitment process which attracted over 150 applications from 16- to 19-year-olds.
Repairs and maintenance service provider Morrison Scotland LLP received the applications from local people all eager to join the company.
The apprentices will work on Morrison Scotland’s housing and public buildings repairs and maintenance contracts with North Lanarkshire Council, which incorporates over 37,000 properties.
The new apprentices include three electricians, five joiners, two plumbers, a lift engineer and a mechanical pump engineer as well as eight business administration apprentices. READ MORE
