Local Apprentice Recruited as Part of Housing Contract

A young Greenock man has been given the chance to take up an electrical apprenticeship through a contract issued by local housing provider River Clyde Homes.

George Morrison, 19, started his four-year-apprenticeship with fit-out, housing and maintenance contractor Morris & Spottiswood.

He will initially be working in the Inverclyde area on a one-to-one buddy system with a fully qualified electrician, although through time George will be given the opportunity to work on a variety of projects Scotland-wide to maximise his learning experience. As part of his training, George will attend Reid Kerr College, Paisley, on a block-release basis. READ MORE
