Training centre for homeless people opens it doors in Edinburgh

A new centre to provide training for homeless people has opened in Edinburgh.

The Grassmarket Community Project's new building opened on Candlemaker Row on Thursday.

A joint venture between Greyfriars, Tolbooth and Highland Kirk and the Grassmarket Mission, it will provide workshops, mentoring and teaching.

A public cafe will allow the project to become self sustainable and a community hall will host theatre productions and conferences.
