East Dunbartonshire Council will take on 12 successful applicants in its latest modern apprenticeship programme.
The announcement was made during the recent Scottish Apprenticeship Week and the new recruits will take up their posts - in business administration, information and communications technology, customer services and horticulture - in the summer.
More than 120 applications have been received, with interviews taking place later this month.
Council leader Rhondda Geekie said: “Scottish Apprenticeship Week is an excellent opportunity for us to focus on the 12 Apprenticeships we are currently recruiting.”
