BT has announced it
is recruiting up to 60 young apprentices to its contact centre operations in
Dundee this year.
The telecoms giant
confirmed recruitment was under way following talks with Dundee City Council,
local schools, colleges and job centres. BT said the jobs
would help tackle youth unemployment in the city.
The company employs more than 1,000 staff in Dundee in a range of customer contact functions, from directory enquiries to broadband.
