Lanarkshire Businesses Nominated for Modern Apprenticeship Awards
A Coatbridge training centre and an East Kilbride whisky producer and are amongst the nominees at this year's Scottish Modern Apprenticeship Awards.
GMD Community Services and Burn Stewart Distillers are being recognised for their work with apprentices and training initiatives which put people in jobs and on the career path.
The Coatbridge centre have been nominated for their work with Deaf Connections to help deaf adults integrate into normal life by providing bespoke training.
Karen Dunn, GMD managing director said: “It all started in 2009 when I was a training manager at another organisation, and redundancies were made. I took up the redundancy and set up GMD along with the others that left the company.” READ MORE
