Irvine Business Up for Apprentice Award


An Irvine-based disability aid business has been chosen as a finalist in Scotland’s Modern Apprenticeship Awards.

Thistle Helps is a contender in the Skills Development Scotland Award’s category to find Scotland’s best small employer for companies with less than 50 workers.

The company, based in Irvine’s Portland Avenue, was established in 2007 by George Ruddick and Laura Hays

The pair are committed to staff development and training and helping young people find work in an area of high unemployment. READ MORE
