Take a Look At This Opportunity And Become One Of Young Scot's "Truth About Youth Digital Creative" Modern Apprentices!

The Role

The main focus of a Young Scot Digital Creative will be to work as part of our Truth About Youth project. Funded by The Co-operative Foundation, Truth About Youth (www.thepatter.org) aims to challenge and change negative perceptions of young people across Scotland by sharing positive stories of them via social media, blogging and video and the media.
Responsibilities will include: engaging with young people, creating digital content (especially videos), maintaining and building social media platforms and working with partners to identify digital media opportunities.
Through the role, successful candidates will also work towards, and be supported to, achieve a qualification in Creative and Digital Media. One day a week will be dedicated to meeting a college assessor and planning goals.

Your Profile
We are looking for an apprentice who has an interest, enthusiasm and passion in digital technology and a willingness to learn. An understanding and experience of online communication/social media tools and the ability to work flexibly are also preferred.
An interest in Digital Media is preferred although full training in Digital Media skills will be given.  You should be a good communicator with strong IT skills and a willingness to learn, but passion and enthusiasm are absolutely crucial.
Closing date for the receipt of applications is noon on 19th February 2014 and interviews will be held in our offices on 27th February 2014.
To apply for the Apprenticeship you must be aged 16-24 and willing to study for vocational qualifications whilst gaining professional work-based experience. Please note that we will only be able to accept applications from those who have not already graduated from University, a HNC or equivalent level course.
