Apprenticeships in Scotland Assist with Largest Youth Unemployment Fall Since 2006



The SNP has welcomed statistics showing youth unemployment has fallen by 28,000 over the last year – the largest annual fall since 2006.
The youth unemployment rate of 18.4% is now at its lowest since November to January 2011 and compares to the UK’s rate of 20.6%.
Scotland accounted for 13,000 of the UK’s 14,000 fall in headline unemployment over the quarter - with unemployment in Scotland now lower than the UK average.
