As part of its on-going commitment to supporting the
development of the Scottish Event Services sector, Diamond Event Services is
taking part in the government’s national Youth Contract initiative. The scheme,
which aims to help young people get into work, has already been a success with
4 young people taken on by the Edinburgh-based firm in the last 3 months.
“The scheme is a great fit for Diamond Event Services,” says
Managing Director, John Diamond. “We are committed to making sure that the
people entering the industry have the right skills and attitude and this allows
us to work with motivated young men and women from the word go, helping them to
achieve their potential within our exciting industry.”
Diamond has found that the new staff it has taken on under
the scheme have been committed to developing their skills. Highlighting this
positive approach is the recent achievement of Grant Blyth, who joined under
the Youth Contract Scheme and has since successfully, completed the National
Access and Rescue Centre’s Height Safety training course. READ MORE
