STF Conference 2013 'Developing Scotland's Young Workforce' 24/25th September

The theme for 2013 is Developing Scotland’s Young Workforce and we are keen to ensure that STF members and employers will use the networking facilities at Crieff to work together and strengthen working relationships which will be mutually beneficial and, of course, will help to provide the highest quality training in all of the programmes delivered throughout Scotland.  The importance of both the Modern Apprenticeship programme and the Employability Fund opportunities will be explored during the Conference.

As usual, we will have a star-studded line up for the Conference, which will be hosted by Stephen Jardine  Confirmed speakers for this year’s Conference are:

• Angela Constance MSP, Minister for Youth Employment
• John McLelland, current Chair of Skills Development Scotland.  
• Stephen Boyle, Head of Group Economics and a director of RBS Pensions Trustees Ltd.

In addition to the very popular ‘speed networking’ events, we will be re-introducing extended workshop opportunities in response to feedback received from last year’s Conference and Skills Development Scotland have agreed to put on a number of ‘masterclasses’ which will be particularly helpful for members involved in the delivery of MAs and the Employability Fund.
